How Much Sex Are Americans Really Having?

It seems like every week a new report comes out stating that Americans are having less sex than ever, but today we wanted to share a recent study that focuses on how often people in America ARE having sex. The study was created by the folks over at NapLab, who conducted an ‘American sex survey’ to determine where in the U.S. people are having the most sex; and how often they are doing the deed. On average, Americans are having sex 1.06 times a week. Check out the results of their study below to see how your own sex life compares to others from your state.

Let’s just say the people of Alaska have found a new way to keep warm, and were found to have the highest weekly sex rate in the country by far. Alaskans reported having sex an average of 2.8 times each week. Sadly for those in Colorado looking to get lucky, the Centennial State ranked last for average number of times people are having sex with a low reported average of 0.42 times per week. Which means people in Alaska are having sex seven times as much as people in Colorado!

How often are people in the U.S. having sex? NapLab also created a pie (or should we say, heart) chart that breaks down how often Americans are getting it on. Nearly half of respondents said they have sex about once per week or more, while another quarter of respondents said once per month or more. On the flip side, 7.8% of American reported having sex once a day or more.
