While hotel chains may have taken a hit during the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospitality as a whole is now thriving. People are more open to traveling and staying in locations outside of their home. Do you know which hotels currently have the most locations?

The team at Decorative Ceiling Tiles looked at data to visualize which hotel chains have the most locations around the world. The graphic utilizes a radial bar chart to show which hotel chains have the most physical locations. It also includes horizontal bar charts to visualize the revenue of each of the chains.

The hotel chain with the most locations is Jin Jiang International based in China. It has 11,959 locations and operates the Jinjiang Hotel, Peace Hotel, and Park Hotel chains in China. Since the company’s creation, it has since acquired the Groupe du Louvre chain in Europe and a significant percentage of Keystone Lodging Holding. In 2022, the group had more than $11 billion in revenue.

The second hotel chain on the list is Wyndham Hotel & Resorts, which is also the largest hotel chain based in the United States. Wyndam has 9,280 locations around the world. Their brands include Howard Johnson, Days Inn, Ramada, Super 8, La Quinta, and more. The chain had more than $1.49 billion in revenue in 2022.

Ranking third is Marriott International, which has 8,484 locations around the world. Some of Marriott’s brands include The Ritz-Carlton, Westin Hotels, Residence Inn, Sheraton Hotels, and W Hotels.
