How much did the most expensive building actually cost to build? The dollar amount is so high you may not believe it! According to this chart of the most expensive buildings to have ever been constructed, that achievement goes to The Great Mosque of Mecca which cost $100 billion to build over time. When adjusted for inflation that amount increases to $115.2 billion; each of the building’s costs have been adjusted for inflation for a more accurate comparison of the high cost to build each of them. The chart was created by home décor specialist, DecorativeCeilingTiles.net, and it spans across the globe highlighting the thirty buildings that have cost the most to build, so far.
